Namsangol Hanok - by Management
Description
Namsangol Hanok is a traditional village situated on the site of a previous Joseon-era summer resort called Jeonghakdong, hence the presence of a garden and pavilion. Visitors can explore a handful of hanoks (traditional Korean houses) that were restored and moved there. Trivia: a time capsule was buried there in 1994 and is scheduled to be opened in 2394, to mark Seoul's 1,000th anniversary.
Access & Transport
The village is located in the Jung district, adjacent to Namsan park (northeast side). The Chungmuro subway station (3, 4) is 200m away.
Instructions & Recommendations
We suggest combining this attraction with a walk in Namsan Park and perhaps a ride up the N Seoul Tower.
Environmental & Social
We deem this attraction neutral from social and environmental perspectives

Namsangol Hanok is small and holds limited interest, but if you are in the neighbourhood and have not seen any hanok as yet, then it warrants a visit.
