Description
The Collegiate Church of the Divine Savior (Iglesia Colegial del Divino Salvador) is a Catholic Church built in Baroque style at the end of the 17th century. It was built where the largest mosque in Seville once stood before it was converted into a church after the Reconquista of the city in 1248 until it needed to be rebuilt. Architectural and artistic highlights include the main altarpiece made by Cayetano de Acosta and various other altarpieces (there are 14 in total), the bell tower (the base of the old minaret can be seen) and the decorated octogonal dome.
