Description
The River Wonders is a zoo and aquarium with a river theme in a tropical forest setting. The various zones include the Congo River, Amazon Flooded Forest, Yangtze River, Ganges River, Nile River, etc. The main attractions are the Amazon River Quest boat ride and a pair of giant pandas (Jia Jia and Kai Kai). There are also giant river otters, red pandas, and many species of fish.
Access & Transport
The attraction is located at 80 Mandai Lake Road (between the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari) and the easiest way to get there is by taxi / car. There are a few bus services that come to the Zoo and link with the Red or Brown MRT lines and some shuttles to town. Instructions & Recommendations
You may want to consider several of the animal parks, in which case a multi-park ticket may make sense. We would however advise against trying to visit the Singapore Zoo on the same day as the River Wonders but an afternoon at the River Wonders followed by an evening at the Night Safari is a good combo. Make sure to bring sun protection with you (cap/hat, sunglasses, sunblock and some water)
Environmental & Social

Conclusion
The River Wonders is a nice enough attraction, but it is overshadowed by the Singapore Zoo next door and, with a price that is only marginally lower, we would only recommend it to those who have already been to the zoo or have many days in town (incl. residents and return visitors) - in that case a membership or multi-park ticket probably makes sense.
