Description
The S.E.A. Aquarium is one of the largest in the world, it comprises of 10 zones housing over 800 species and tens of thousands of fishes and other marine animals. Access & Transport
The address is 8 Sentosa Gateway, Resorts World Sentosa There are some bus options from the city, but it is generally faster to take the MRT until Harbourfront (Circle and NE lines) and from there use the boardwalk on foot, take a bus or the Sentosa Express monorail. Taxi / Car is also a convenient option but do note parking is expensive For full details, refer to the following page: https://www.rwsentosa.com/en/getting-here
Instructions & Recommendations
Advanced online reservation is required.
Environmental & Social
On paper, the Aquarium helps in conservation efforts with ex-situ breeding of endangered species but the animals that got there in the first place were taken out of their natural habitat and flown to Singapore. RWS has some social policies and community engagement - details here: https://www.rwsentosa.com/en/rws-cares
Conclusion
If you can get past the price / debatable value and ethical issues then Sentosa's SEA Aquarium is really worth visiting. It is no longer the biggest, largest, etc. but the diversity of marine animals, the swerving sharks and gliding manta rays that visitors can observe in the main tank are truly memorable.
