Description
Brunnsviken is a narrow, elongated lake just 3km north of Stockholm city centre that is popular for bird watching, walking and running. The loop around its perimeter is 12km long, mostly flat (<200m elevation gain) on non-technical trails. Attractions along the way include the Bergian Garden, the Swedish Museum of Natural History (about 500m from the lakeshore), and the Butterfly House.
Access & Transport
There is no specific starting point but the main trailheads include: A) Stallmästaregården hotel (southwest corner). Several bus services stop at 'Haga södra' next to it; and B) Bergianska Botanical Garden (eastern side) which is a short walk from bus stop Frescati and Universitetet station (Red 14).

Conclusion
A handy, enjoyable trail for the Stockholm urban dwellers but it's no wild landscapes here. Makes for a good trail run for those that are so inclined.
