Dalongdong Baoan Temple - by Ben Hsu on Google

Description
The Dalongdong Baoan Temple (大龍峒保安宮) in Taipei is a 19th century temple built by clan members from China's Fujian province (the closest region of mainland China across the sea). This is reflected in the traditional architecture and decorative motifs including woodwork, colourful ceramics, and wall murals. The temple holds a yearly cultural festival and is on the list of UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation.
Access & Transport
The temple is located in the Datong district, in the northern part of Taipei. It is a 10mins walk from the Yuanshan metro station (red line).
Instructions & Recommendations
The Taipei Confucius Temple is located across the road and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum is a 15-20 mins walk away.
Environmental & Social
Environmentally neutral and part of the city's cultural heritage.
Conclusion
The Dalongdong Baoan Temple has artistical, historical and cultural value so we would suggest visitors to Taipei to include it in their itinerary provided they club it with other sights in the area (such as the Fine Arts Museum and/or the Dalong night market). It might not be worth travelling across town just for this attraction otherwise.
