The Ducal Palace of Gandia was the residence of the Royal Dukes of Gandía followed by (in the late 15th century) the Borja family, an Aragonese noble family that rose to prominence during the Italian Renaissance. The residence was built in the 15th century in Valencian Gothic style with later Renaissance and Baroque additions. Visits cover the Arms Courtyard, the Crown Hall, the Neogothic Chapel, the Oratory, the Duchess' Chamber, the Eagles Hall, the Golden Gallery, the Hall of the States of Sardinia and several other rooms.

Meta review

The palace is considered one of the top regional attractions around Valencia and online reviews sing to the same tune. Visitors enjoy the inlaid floors, the 15th century porcelain tiles, the architecture and paintings and only wish that there was more original furniture. Comments regarding the audio-guide are also positive: clear and well-articulated.

Environmental & Social

Not data available regarding environment and social practices and policies. Visits help preserve the town's cultural and architectural heritage

Conclusion

The Ducal Palace of Gandia is one of the cultural highlights in Valencia Province and certainly worth a dedicated visit from Valencia although it would be best to add other attractions such as the Xativa or Cullera castles to your itinerary if you can.
