El Saler Beach - by Jose N on Google
Description
El Saler Beach is located in the Albufera Natural Park, to the south of Valencia. It is sandy, bordered by dunes and pine trees and stretches over 2.5km although technically it continues under different names. The beach holds the 'blue flag' rating with lifeguards on duty over some sections during the summer season.
Access & Transport
The beach is 12km southeast from the city centre on the CV401/CV500. Parking is available. Buses 24 and 25 go to the small town of El Saler, a 5 mins walk from the beach.
Instructions & Recommendations
The beach and the sun can be strong here so don't forget the usual protective equipment (hat/cap, "green" sunblock, sunglasses, slippers) and some water. We suggest combining this activity with the lagoon area of the Albufera Natural Park.
Environmental & Social
Low carbon footprint and community neutral
Conclusion
El Saler is a good beach option for anybody visiting or living in Valencia but it is not a "destination" beach. The good infrastructure and lack of waves make it attractive for families in particular.
