Description
The Archaeological Center of l'Almoina showcases and documents the archaeological remains of the ancient Roman square of Decimus Junius Brutus (2nd century BC). It is located on the Plaza de la Almoina, in the historic center of Valencia. What remains are ruins of the shrine to Asclepius, an horreum (a public warehouse), as well as ruins of some baths and religious edifices. Those are partly visible from outside through a glass cover.
Access & Transport
The museum is next to the Plaza de la Virgen, behind the cathedral, a 10 mins walk from the 'Colón' metro station (0, 3, 5, 7, 9). The closest bus stops are 'Plaça de la Reina' (C1) and 'Comte de Trénor' along C. del Pintor Lopez (6, 11, 16, 26, 94, C2).
