The Museum of Military History (Heeresgeschichtliches Museum) belongs to the Austrian Armed Forces and documents the history of the country's military affairs. It is housed in a building that is part of the expansive Vienna's Arsenal and contains a magnificent Hall of Fame and memorial for the Imperial Army. Exhibits include various weapons, aircraft, armoured vehicles, medals, photographs and documents arranged over themed halls starting from the 16th century to the post WW2 period. There is also a tank hall and an artillery hall within the complex.
