Description
The Caesaraugusta Theatre Museum showcases the ruins of the Roman Theatre of Zaragoza and some related artefacts. The structure was built in the first century AD and could accommodate up to 6,000 spectators. Part of the stands and stage have been unearthed and covered with a large polycarbonate structure; they are complemented by an Interpretative Center that introduces visitors to the history of the theatre and the dramatic genres as well as the social and political life of the period.
Access & Transport
The museum is in the center of the historical district of Zaragoza, just south of La Seo Cathedral and 300m from the 'Plaza España' tram station.
Instructions & Recommendations
There is a combined ticket for the Caesaraugusta related museums grouping those of the theatre, Forum, Fluvial Port and Thermal Baths: https://www.zaragoza.es/contenidos/museos/museos_ccesp.pdf
