Pablo Serrano Museum (IAACC) - by Francisco Ramos on Google

Description
The Pablo Serano Museum or IAACC (Instituto Aragonés de Arte y Cultura Contemporáneos) is a center dedicated to modern and contemporary art. The original reconverted building was expanded in 2007-11 based on a design by architect Pérez Latorre. The collection was seeded by works from the Aragonese sculptor Pablo Serrano and grew over time to include paintings by Santiago Lagunas, contemporary graphic art and, in 2013, the addition of the private collection Circa XX that broadened the scope in time by several decades and in terms of nationalities. The centre also hosts temporary exhibitions.
Access & Transport
Address: #20 Paseo María Agustín. There are many bus services stopping along that street, the Plaza Aragón tram station is 500m away and the Goya train station exactly 1km away (10-15mins walk).
Instructions & Recommendations
A visit to the IAACC is well combined (geographically / logistically) with the Aljafería Palace.
Environmental & Social
Some environment impact to run the museum (mostly electricity). Positive from a social perspective by helping spread culture and the arts
Conclusion
One to recommend to modern and contemporary art lovers only (or residents and those with extra days in the city) considering how inconsistent the standard of artworks is.
Key positive
Striking external design and large interior spaces
Free admission
Key negative
Not many artworks of high quality
Suitability
Best for adults and children aged 15 and above. Accessible for visitors with reduced mobility
