Zaragoza Amusement Park

15 Paseo del Duque de Alba, Zaragoza, Aragón

Description

The Zaragoza Amusement Park contains over 30 rides and attractions ranging from adrenaline-inducing to kids-oriented ones. There are roller coasters, a drop tower, a river/rapids raft, a mini-Ferris Wheel, etc. There is also a swimming pool opened during the summer months.

Access & Transport

The park is in the southern part of Zaragoza, about 4km from the city centre. Bus #34 stops at the entrance. By car, from outside of the city on the Z-40 ring road, take exit 22 if coming from the north or west and exit 23 otherwise. There are two free car parks.

Instructions & Recommendations

Check opening hours here: https://www.atraczara.com/calendario-y-horario/ Many rides have a min. height requirement. Details can be found by clicking on each thumbnail here: https://www.atraczara.com/atracciones/ We suggest combining this activity with the Parque Grande José Antonio Labordeta next to it.

Meta review

The amusement park seems to mainly draw in regional visitors who comment that it does a good job of entertaining families for half a day (full day when the pool is open) but that, overall, it is on the expensive side for what is on offer. Indeed, many attractions seem to be closed semi-regularly (varying opening hours and technical issues) and the maintenance needs to be stepped up (and so does the cleanliness of the toilets as some point out). The queues inside are manageable but those at the entrance can be long and there is no shade protection there.

Environmental & Social

No environmental data available so we deem this activity a little negative in that respect on account of the high energy intensity of the rides. No info available regarding social policies

Conclusion

A worthwhile option for families looking for rides not involving a lengthy trip out of the city - it is a good but not extraordinary amusement park, especially for customers who have experienced some of the best (and most expensive) theme parks in the world.
